You can commission editing independently of filming. I can work with material supplied by your team, combine existing footage with a new shoot or handle filming and editing together. We review the available material and agree on the intended result before starting.
From raw footage to a coherent story
The edit follows your message, audience and brand. The agreed work may include selecting takes, building the narrative, colour correction, sound adjustments, titles and music. Additional graphics, subtitles and language versions should be specified in the brief.
A practical workflow for agency teams
- Share the brief, reference style and intended publishing channels.
- Confirm the recording formats and an agreed method for transferring footage.
- Provide brand assets, names, approved wording and any required subtitle text.
- Agree the first edit, feedback rounds and final delivery date.
One consolidated set of time-coded comments makes revisions easier to follow. If you need project files as well as finished videos, mention this before the quote so compatibility and included assets can be checked.
Versions for different channels
A website film, a conference screen and a social feed may require different formats. We can plan shorter edits, horizontal or vertical versions and subtitles where the source material allows. Extra versions are included in the agreed scope.
What determines the editing cost?
The volume and organisation of the footage, desired film length, sound quality, graphics, subtitles and review requirements all affect the workload. Send a description of your material and deadline so I can estimate the work. Delivery dates are agreed individually.
